Excellent bread - made with love and care - I will be reordering
This is such a fantastic loaf; delicious and sustaining. Perfect toasted from the freezer.
Hide it from your gluten-eating family!
I am so glad I’ve discovered this amazing bread , so delicious and actually healthy , it’s changed my life as a coeliac … thank you so much for baking it !!! 😊🙏
Really sorry to say but these loaves of bread are very dense, dry (after a day the bread was like breadcrumbs) and not at all tasty.
We will sadly not be reordering and are very disappointed as we were very hopeful that this bread would be tasty.
Expensive to throw away - which is what will probably happen.
I tried 3 of the loaves and couldn’t eat any of them. They were too dense, took ages to toast and tasted of the raw uncooked ingredients for me. I wouldn’t have minded the price and size if I had liked them.
This is my favourite loaf. Great flavour, browns really well for toasting.
The best thing about all knife and fork bakery loaves is that they contain no nasties. Definitely recommend
I love the sourdough. It is really special when grilled in the toaster. I also like the cinnamon and date, buckwheat and poppy seeds. All are nice loaves and a great replacement of wheat and/or supermarket GF breads.
Such a great idea to offer a discounted starter pack so we can have a taste of different breads as we've had mixed experiences from supermarket GF breads. The breads from Knife & Fork Bakery are probably the best we've come across so far, the sour dough particularly is wonderful and is likely to become a regular order for us! Thanks so much.
Love this loaf, love that it is sliced ready to put in the freezer and take out slices to defrost as needed. Tastes wonderful!
Nice bread. Would prefer sliced option though. Quite cake like in texture.
It is so good to find some gluten free bread which not only tastes delicious but is also free of any nasty ingredients.
Very pleased with my purchases so far from fork and knife. The sourdough bread is lovely and toasts up really well. I really like this bread from fork and knife bakery as they also don't have all the additives and added sugar which i think is completely unnecessary. Will be interesting to try some of their other loaves.
Enjoyed this very much. Would there be a problem , if it were to come ready sliced?
I was so pleased to received my taster pack! The breads look like proper bread, I’ve frozen most of them and have enjoyed all of them! The focaccia is incredible and they are all amazing, toasted for breakfast, as a sandwich, with a soup! Lovely bread, holding well with natural flavours!
I love the fact there are all natural, ingredients and no added things or nasties! 100% recommend!
Highly recommended. Tried to intro pack and decided liked the sourdough best. Then tried seedy sourdough and alternate the two. . Just so tasty . Yes it takes a lot of toasting. But so does gluten sourdough. No it’s not the same as gluten bread but the very best you can have without gluten. Go with open mind . It’s different but so tasty. And after supermarket bread worlds apart. Final Note . It may seem expensive but a loaf sliced, taking what you need out of freezer lasts more than twice as long as a supermarket loaf! Bargain.
I divide this loaf into 4 & freeze it when it arrives, defrost it as I heat up some soup and enjoy it as much as any pre-coeliac meal. The bread is so good, that I have ended up going back to check the label to make sure it’s really gluten free. Pure joy.
This is abosultely delicious when heated according to instructions on the packaging - excellent accompaniment to soup for a lunchtime treat. Even my husband who does not have to eat gluten free bread said he really enjoyed it!
I enjoyed my first introduction to this bread. The focaccia was a treat and I loved the flavours of the other loaves. Still not finished everything yet but I think the bread is better toasted. Overall, it’s great! Thank you!
I tried the GF selection and loved them all, the focaccia bread is particularly nice as not many gf about, it's great to have with my homemade soups.
Sourdough is my go to' as I have to keep yeast to a minimum too that's lovely with olive oil avocado and tahini on
I agree that the range is difficult to toast, but it's tasty enough warmed through and at least it doesn't crumble and fall apart like many gf loaves do. Loved the quinoa and seeded bread with peanut butter on.
I also re ordered and had the Christmas loaf, which I am having to stop myself eating it all at once lovely combination of flavours shame a sourdough version cannot be made (yeast free)
All good GF loaves are expensive but at least these are worth it x
Delicious! Do not hesitate 👏🏻
To all those who have written negative comment, you cannot expect gluten free bread to be the same as bread with gluten. Gluten gives the particular structure to traditional bread. Embrace this gluten free bread as a delicious, albeit different, alternative to traditional made with ‘unprocessed’
ingredients.
I have used many brownie kits in the past, this one is by far the best. Very fudge with a lovely chocolate flavour. Great easy to follow recipe instructions.
I used half the kit to make a small batch. The only problem I had was after taking half of the dry mix from the bag the seal on the bottom of the bag popped open spilling some of it's contents on the floor. So handle with care.
Haven't tried the focaccia yet, and am still hoping that one lives up to my expectations, but extremely disappointed with the other loaves I ordered (choc/hazelnut, Christmas, cinnamon/date). From the reviews I'd read I was expecting great things but this bread really reminded me of very early gluten-free loaves - they taste what I call 'worthy' - they don't taste like bread at all. And they don't toast well either. They're in my freezer but tbh I may just bin them as I really don't want another slice. Sadly, for me, a waste of money. Much prefer my usual Schär wholesome seeded loaves.
